Blog Post #2 "Topic of my Choice!"

My topic for my research paper will be Mexican Immigration. Instead of the boring repetitive research papers with tons of overloaded information, my paper will be more personal. Time and time again, researchers often look at the effects Mexican immigration has on Americans, which is important, but my paper will focus on how it effects the actual immigrants and their families. I want to mention how the statement in the constitution "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness," should be applied to the new Mexican immigrants as well. Putting aside the fact if they are legal or illegal immigrants, my paper will tie to emotion. Some of the questions I will base my paper off of are the following:

1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

When picking a topic their are tons of things that I enjoy doing or would like to inform people about, but Mexican immigration hits home for me. I guess I feel obligated to inform, defend, and argue this topic because without my grandparents migrating to America in the mid 1900s, I wouldn't even be typing this blog right now. A lot of who I am, what I do, and the opportunities I have today are because of the courage my family has. I truly believe that every single person on the earth deserves a chance. Many people believe that America is that chance. Many people also believe that the American Dream is dead, but maybe it is just being tested. The dream is not dead, the peoples ambition and drive to make things worth while is what is dead.

I am researching...
because I want to find out...
in order to help readers understand...

Blog Post #1 "Introduction of my Lovely-Self!"

Hello! My name is Briana Armida Ramos and for my first blog post I'm gonna tell you a little about myself. Let's start with a short little paragraph that explains me exactly:

I am friendly. I talk a lot. Yet shy among all. I am all kinds of goofy and silly. I love to laugh. It keeps a heart young. I am sarcastic. I love pickles with a passion and a coke everyday. I have God in my heart. I am creative and prefer any font over comic sans anytime. I guess that's the inner computer nerd in me. I love all music. Weather it be country or rap. I'm a dreamer and a hopeless romantic. I love to be there when you need me. When I love. I give it my all. I will take you under my wing and into my heart. Where you will forever be. I believe everything happens reason. And you have to forgive to forget. You will never see me angry. Unless you seek me. Which happens more often then I prefer. If it hurts. I will curse. I like to believe I am brave and strong. But I am after all only human. I am who I am. And most important none of these are the answers to my password questions.

In addition to that paragraph that pretty much sums me up, I also love-spending time with friends and family. I also enjoy graphic design and computers, so when choosing a major, that passion for graphic art was a big influence. My major here at WT is Public Relations and Advertising with a minor in Graphic Design.  I hope to one do work for a huge media corporation as a graphic designer or advertiser. Until then I will reside in the panhandle area and continue my life journey at WTAMU!
